A carpenter can build the box. You can purchase corbels or moulding (or order extra from whichever manufacturer you choose)from a place like Rockler. Then bring one of the painted doors to BM or SW and have them paint match. DONE! Of course you'll need the insert which will cost $$ but you would have needed that either way. I can't imagine the hood shell with embellishments would cost more then a few hundred bucks.

If you have the box built elsewhere, the Dura Supreme folks can give you the exact "recipe" for the paint they use. We bought Dura Supreme cabinets and I wanted to use some wood corbels I bought elsewhere. Our Dura Supreme KD had a sheet with the "recipe" for the Sherwin Williams paint they use at the factories for their finishes. She gave it to me and I was able to buy the paint from Sherwin William (although I ended up not using the corbels or the paint).

it looks like you could build a box and order door panels for the front and sides to finish it and match the rest of your cabinets, then buy molding and corbels elsewhere for the bottom.

Starmark uses tinted varnish, not paint, don't know about Crestwood. (I know this because I just ordered Starmark cabinetry -- so happy!) Is matching tinted varnish just as easy as matching paint? Don't know. BTW, I think you can get very close to that hood with Starmark. Go to mkfusa.com (I would have ordered from this place, but DH was nervous about such a large order online.) and look at their price lists (prices are old, but EVERYTHING is there). Your inspiration hood looks very much like the Stanisci wood hood M-series with a flat bottom (custom wall cabinets section), plus nice, deep moulding (valances and moulding section), and substantial corbels (decorative accents section). It's so much easier to search do price lists if you just download the sections. You might find that your KD isn't as familiar with the extensive Starmark book as you would expect. That's what I found, so I learned the book inside and out. Good luck!
