Serious Paint Picking problem

Hi, I'm new to posting but have read lots of posts and love how helpful people are - great ideas!!

So, here's my dilemna. I have a VERY open floor plan in my home. I recently bought new living room furniture more in line w/ my taste - french/transitional. Love love LOVE whites/grays/swedish blues...etc. So, my furniture reflects that. My decorator suggested I choose BM Gray Owl or BM Harbor Gray to compliment the new furiture. I like the colors on swatches but w/ the crazy amt of natural light I get in my house both seem to look baby blue. The living room looks into the dining room which is RH Silver Sage. There is some silver sage in my living room furnishings (part of a bench and in the rug that hasn't come yet). I think I really need more of a taupy gray though to go with the furniture. I wish RH had a color that was like silver blue (w/ blue undertones instead of green). To further confuse issues, I am repainting the back of my house too. I have St. celia granite (was here, I wouldn't have picked it), brown leather couches in fam room, cherry end tables. I'm trying to "cool down" these warm rooms since my preference is cool colors vice warm. I was trying to paint the fam/kitchen BM hot spring stones or BM Cape Hatteras Sand. The former looks like your basic khaki and doesn't seem to be doing much w/ the oak cabs and st. cecilia and cape hatt looks kind of purple in some light. Oh, and this color needs to jive with the gray up front of house and silver sage dining room. Does anyone have any suggestions? Sorry for the long post, but this paint dilemna has me going NUTS. :-) I can post pics of my furniture if someone can tell me how. ...i'll look on the help page.
