Does thinning Duration with water affect durability?

I used exterior Duration (that was left over from the painters job) on my porch rails. I noticed it seemed thin, but it was covering fine and so I finished one section with two coats and another section with one coat. I have never painted with Duration, so I just thought it was a thin paint (kind of like cabinet coat)

Today I opened a new can to do the second coat and when I saw how thick it was , I realized that what the painter left was thinned a lot for his sprayer.

Will this affect the durability of the paint? The can says do not thin.

I found this new thick duration very hard to use. I was painting a second coat. It seemed to be setting up almost instantly, much faster that the cabinet coat that I used when I painted my interior trim. Could the outside temperature have something to do with it seeming to set up so fast? The brush marks really show. I was using a corona chinex brush.

It got down to 34 last night , but I waited today until it was about 50 to paint. There was no wind, the humidity was pretty low. The paint had been left in the house overnight.
