Where should I stop/continue floor tile? Floor plans :)

Originally we had a wall seperating our kitchen and dining room, but we recently demolished the wall. We designed our kitchen and the cabinets have been delivered. We just completed drywall so we're not quite ready for the install yet. Going over the plans again, we realized that we didn't plan out the flooring appropriately. We were planning on extending the tile to the edge of the perimeter cabinets but our island cabinets don't line up with the them. There's no moving the island because the framing for the rangehood is already complete in our vaulted ceiling. This wouldn't be a big deal but there will be seating at the island and it would be awkward if the stools were on 2 different surfaces (Our dining room (& the rest of our house except bathrooms) is all walnut wood flooring). What's your opinion? Thanks for all of your help!

Here is a visual and a couple of options:

Original Tile goes to the dotted line:

We could extend the tile out 3 feet (1 ft passed the countertop overhang):

We could use the edge of the island cabinet to figure out where to stop the extension of the tile floor:

We could extend the tile out by 2 ft but keep the wood floors where the countertop overhang is so that the stools slide nicely:

Hi, I think the third option would be best visually. Therefor you would have your stools on your wooden floor and that's o.k. Your floor plan looks great. Send pictures once it's all done. Good luck

Thanks, so it doesn't bother you that the last perimeter cabinet would be half on wood floor and half on tile?

I'm getting excited, within the next month I'll have something that resembles a kitchen. I'll definitely post some pics when complete but for now here are somefrom last week (pre-drywall).

In this pic you can kind of see where the tile stops. The pink paper protects the wood floors during construction. You can also see where the plant shelf starts (it's about 6 inches from where the last perimeter cabinet will land):

Here's our beautiful new 45" window, perfectly placed for and ready for the addition of our kholer stages sink:

In this pic you can see through to our master bath remodel that's going on concurrently (yes, we often ask ourselves 'what did we get ourselves into?'):

Here you can see the entrance to our kitchen. We'll need to replace a few tiles becuase we widened the opening:

This was the original kitchen layout before the demo began. Problems I wanted to correct were to move the dishwasher to the left of the sink so that the corner cabinets are always accessible; make use of the floor space by removing the 'right' wall and putting in an island; moving the fridge away from the wall so that it's easy to open the doors completely:

I'd go with #3, but bring it straight across, rather than diving the hardwood into the bar, and then back out on the other side. That looks way too busy. You definitely want to bring it out to the end of the cabinets, though.

The only other viable option I see would be starting from the outer point of the cabinets, as in #3, and then ending the tile on an angled line to the outer face of the island, and then on the other side continue that line straight out from the island till you make the corner to return to the cabinets on the other side.

To me, anything else would look "unplanned".
