Need hood help / sources

Hello There,

I am sorry to say my contractor ordered the wrong size (too big) hood which we realized with only days to go in my renovation. I need a 30" wall mount chimney style hood with 600 cfm or greater - and fast. Does anyone know a fast (in stock) online source to order a hood or maybe a dealer in the New York City area? I am renovating a coop apartment with stiff penalties for going over expected timing! Many thanks!

Hi upstategirl zn5: In November we ordered a 36" Best by Broan chimney hood on a Saturday at a local appliance store in NJ and it was ready to pick up by Tuesday (I was surprised by the quick 3 days turn around on our order). Call around to your local appliance stores or to A. J. Madison: I bet you can find hood you like that will ship from the distributor quickly. Especially since 30" is the most common size vent hood-- they should be in stock at the distributor's warehouse.

Try Community Appliance in Middletown, NJ. Their warehouse is in Brooklyn, so if they have it in stock you can get it in a couple of days. They have the best prices around and you can negotiate with them. Their phone number is 732-671-7721.
My chimney hood is a 30" Zephyr Savona with 600 cfm and works great!
