Thank you for your time, I would like to lay my tiles (they look like hardwood and are 4"x24") in a herringbone pattern, but my kitchen is only 8'x11'(and is without the cabinets put in yet), so I was wondering if it look good or should I lay them in an other manner. My cabinets are going to the ceiling and are a cream colour. The tiles I like are dark and almost match the hardwood floors in the rest of the house. I was going to put a thrushhold of ganite in the doorway that connects the kitchen to the dinning room. I was looking at a dark granite (like antique brown for my countertops).My house is almost 100 years old. Thank you, I would reaslly appreciate any help.
