Designing for the dogs

Remember the old threads about "designing for the dogs" and some of the cool things people had come up with? Well now I've seen it all, and I'm kinda jealous I didn't see this when I was remodeling my kitchen.. lol

I was browsing elevated dog feeders and just saw this feeder online at petsmart and love the idea. It's a pet food and water bowl unit that is plumbed!

Hah.. I think I need Rosie the Robot to run around the house and back yard yelling, "Boo no!" Maybe that's the trick, just stop "fueling" him with food.

I did finally opt for the "Simple Human" pet food bin. I just redecorated the den this winter and I'm sort of sick of seeing a giant yellow and purple food bag in the middle of the floor. Now if I could find a really attractive couple of food dishes for him and Ginger that didn't cost an arm and a leg.

He is sooooo tall that I was considering an elevated feeder. They both lay down to eat -- but I'm not sure if its for comfort or just laziness.
