Granite backsplash woes

We have the most ridiculous bay window configurations...the outside left perimeter window sits 3.75 inches up from the countertop. Â The main bay window (on the flat) sits up 5.75 inches from the counter. Â The other perimeter window is 4.25 inches from the counter. Â Go figure. Â I want to use a 2.5 x 5 inch tile behind our range wall but b/c of the bay window configurations, I decided to just run granite backsplash up to the window casing and be done with it. Â The problem is the swing arm on our faucet would hit the granite and we'd lose about 1/4 inch of hot water movt. Â We could run the granite at the 4 inch mark approx all the way across, but the granite wouldn't hit the casing in the middle but would on the perimeter. Wouldn't that look funky? Â What about if we made a different, deeper edge cut like a Hollywood profile? Â Maybe that would give us the additional wiggle room? Â Any other ideas? Â
