Your favorite throw?

Any suggestions for a wonderful throw, that is soft, feels nice, does not shed, is long enough to cover feet and come up to shoulders for a nap? I need a couple for two different areas.

We love these from Bedford Cottage. I ordered them a few months ago from Haute Look for half price.

I've bought a few different types of throws at Costco and have been very happy with them. They are all plush or microfiber and different weights but all are soft and comfy, don't shed, and wash and dry well. Even better they were all extremely inexpensive - under $20. each. Two had matching pillows as well which were also inexpensive.

I have a knitted throw gotten at the local Walmart which is light and cozy. I also have a hairpin lace one that I made years ago but the warmest, softest throw I have was given to me by a friend who made it with two peices of flannel...knotted around the edges. One side is black and the other side is my favorite pink...easy to make and you could have whatever color you want. I drape my throws over the backs of chairs and sofas in different rooms when it is cold outside.

I have a microfiber down-filled throw that I bought years ago. It's machine washable, which is great if you have pets. Now that it's over 10 years old, I have started to see one or two tiny feather escape, but that could also be a result of the cats kneading it so much.

The cats love it, so I know it is soft and warm and comfy. They love it so much I had to buy them their own. One gets the throw neatly folded on a chair and one gets the throw that's on my lap.

There's a similar one at Overstock.

Camlan- is the down throw long enough ?

Camlan, it seems like those down throws were easy to get before, and not anymore! What happened to them???

I purchased a large remnant of faux fur--beaver I think--very realistic and luxurious, at my local fabric store last fall. Now I wish I'd picked up more! It's durable, doesn't shed, and wonderfully soft & warm--my little house is heated by wood stove and sometimes chilly. I foster/own a number of injured, abused or elderly african dogs who hate the cold and they adore this throw. I had a seamstress line it with a silky knit fabric and this thing moves with us from room to room throughout the day

GWlolo, I'm 5'6" and it's long enough for me. My sister is an inch or two taller and it seems fine for her, as well. If you are 6 feet tall, it's probably not long enough.

Anele--I noticed that, too. I have a Woolrich down throw I got inexpensively at Target several years ago. My son asked for one like it for Christmas because we all love it, and I could not find one anywhere.

I used RH plush throw at my mother's home, and LOVED it. Went to purchase one and they were gone. Super soft. I hope they come back again next fall.

I, too, love my faux fur throw (from West Elm) ! Also love any throw by Linea Casa or Sferra. .... or Anthropology.

I have a fleece throw from LL Bean that I love. I bought it many years ago...maybe 10 years?. It looks very similar to the "Wicked Plush Throw" they currently sell (linked below).
On their site, I see they also offer a Ultra Plush Down Throw that looks extra warm and cozy.

I have a bamboo and cotton blend throw on my reading chair that I just love because itâÂÂs so soft and cuddly. Google bamboo & cotton throw or bamboo cotton blanket and check out some reviews.

    My favorite throw?
    Underhand.

    Sorry....couldn't resist.

I have one that the kids fight over when they are all here. It is from Costco. I haven't seen it there again. Got it a few years ago. They have had others, but not this one. It is very big, very heavy--the kind of heavy like the lead shield at the dentist. It is extremely warm.

We bought some very soft throws from TJ Maxx just before Christmas. They had a great selection and great prices!

    Underhand :) love the pun..

I am going to look at as many of these as possible. DH is really insistent that the throw be long enough. Should I just do a twin size blanket or is that too tacky..

I have one that I got at Kirklands and I love it. Probably 2 years ago. This past Christmas I bought 2 more that I thought were similar, they are except they shed terrible and don't use them. The link posted above for LL Bean - those look nice, comfortable, warm and can't beat the price.
