Need help finding new Front Door

We are having a hard time coming up with a new front door for our home. We want to stick with double doors with glass panels to keep the natural light coming through. Our house has an unusual weeping mortar brick. We have replaced all the outside lights since this photo and have redone all the landscaping. We just really dislike the round glass doors and want to find something that will make this home look more current and inviting. Any ideas will be appreciate it. Thanks

One option would be working with all the existing linear windows as inspiration for the front door.

I'd like to see the new landscaping and other changes you mentioned. Personally I also love the door.

Yes the second floor railing is really bad.

Wait on the door. It is actually the most friendly part of your home with the exception of the Japanese Maple. Why? CIrcles and ovals are a part of our natural environment.

Have you thought about cladding the door in copper or another material first? I think the linear look and heaviness makes the door look wrong.

Try downloading your pic into a program where you can mask on and mask off colors and materials. Because, if you change the doors, I think your windows also need to be stripped down and stained natural.

The home is very heavy looking because of the dark brown paint, and the stone. See if one of your major paint store, or home improvement centers will help you with this concept, or maybe someone here could do it for you. For ex; notice how lively the pumpkins look? It's the color bump.

The brown roof and brown paint date the house. The weeping joints are very rare and an art form. The door is also very rare and an expensive one. I would listen to the others and look at some paint options and update the railing. The house has very nice lines, another paint color would bring all this together. good luck

Thank you all for the input. We have had door pros look at door and its damaged. So since we need to change it we would like different style. As for the paint, we painted the color this past year so no changing it now:( See photos below. Some make it look darker than it is. It's more of a latte with an espresso trim. So for now we would like to change the door so any input I really appreciate. Thanks all!

Hi marinam, It would really help us if you can share with us your vision, if possible. If any part of the doors are salvageable -- you may want to consider this idea. If you remove the glass and have the wood varnished - you can use it in the garden somewhere on the property as a gate, unless you are trending away from that style. I notice a rather distinct symbol on the home, is that significant to your design style? thanks so much for feedback.

I'd be attempting anything to repair that door. Someone earlier suggested copper, that would be beautiful. If all else fails, wrap the door up and send it to me collect :)

I think an ivory door will make your brick pop to life. Perhaps one with etched windows.

Try looking at doors that keep with the vertical lines of your windows. Maybe one with 3 glass panes. I think simply, clean lines would look best. Try searching for "mid century" doors. Best of luck!

I agree with the above . No mullions in the glass, just simply two large glass panes, one in each door, maybe etched for some privacy, then paint it a color in the brick, but NOT that same brown, leaning toward more orange, more of the roof color.

You need to have them built for you.

Keep the door you have - and add a copper finish to it....
The round glass gives reference to the round "tattoo" on the side of the house shown in other pictures.
