About 4 days ago when my 9 month old rat terrier pooped he yipped and hasn't had a really good poop since! Oh, he still poops but he poops a little turd and jumps away from it like it gonna get him. I guess it hurt that one day when he yipped and he expects it to hurt again. Until then he'd poop a little pile. He doesn't have worms but I'm thinking because he was eating a lot of people food he wasn't forming a good solid stool and his anal glands aren't expressing like they should. I say this because before this happened I'd see a couple drops of liquid come out at the end of every poop and I haven't seen any since just before that day. Does this sound logical or could it be something else? If you think that's it should I take him and have the glands expressed or will it straighten out on it's own? He's the funniest little dog and the gasiest. Everytime he farts he turns to sniff his butt. When he was younger if it made a sound he'd jump like what was that?! Thanks for any input.
