HAving just finished a roller coaster ride with my black lab's health, I wish I had pain medication on hand and jar baby food to get through the last days.
My wonderful boy stopped eating and the internet posts told me to feed cat food and baby food.
In looking back on what I would have done differently I wish I had just a few pills to get him through the night. We euthanized very early in the morning as the sun rose.
Embrace the walks, her smell, the time with her and a gentle rub down.
You will know when it is time.
I just wished I had one pill of a strong narcotic when things got bad at 2 a.m.

I had another dog that was given a few weeks to live and she enjoyed life for another 13 months.
I have no idea how long you will have her . Make each day a special day.
Although the days may be tough find the good moments in them.
Lay next to her and enjoy her company. They just want to be near us so give her the time.
