sudden dog paralysis

On Friday my dog was fine. Saturday afternoon my dog has lost the use of her back legs. I have heard that tick bites can cause this but I havent found any ticks on her, I have looked her over and over!! She doesn't seem to be in any pain and she is still drinking water, she isn't eating very much, but, she is still eating. Does anyone know what is going on with my sweet girl?!?

Please let us know what the vet says after your visit.

It could be a spinal injury. The sooner a vet sees her the better the chance of treating whatever the problem is. This is serious so hopefully you have an appt. today.

Are you saying that your dog has been paralyzed since Sat. and has had no medical attention?? Get the dog to a vet quickly!

I would guess you were waiting for the vet to open when you posted this. In cats, that can be a symptom of a heart problem or throwing a clot.
