Collar?

I have a 6 mo old Jack russell terrier, I would like to walk him on a leash but when I put a collar on him he sits down and wont move. He acts like I am punishing him for something. How long will he sit like that. I cant stand for him to look so sad.

Put the collar on your dog, and walk away. Let the dog get use to the collar. When he gets up, then take him out. If he does not get up, pick him up and take him out, he should be associating the collar and leash with the outside and a good time.

How about leaving the collar on 24/7?

Don't let that jack russell use his big soft eyes and forlone look to take control of the situation.

Are you happy when you put on the collar on him?

He will love going for a walk and he will love his collar. You just need to believe it, he will believe anything that you do.
