Garden window over/behind sink?

I am new to this forum, and have already learned so much!!! Thank you for all that you have contributed already, this is an amazing place.

I am in the planning stages of a kitchen remodel; I'll post some plans later and ask for some overall feedback too. But for now, I'm specifically wondering who has - or decided against - a garden window over/behind the kitchen sink. We now have a 48" wide window over our sink, and I think I want to replace it with a garden window. I'm just not sure - and I'm not sure whether I should drop the bottom of the window to have the counter (it will be granite) flow right into it, or keep a bit of a wall and back splash and have the bottom of the garden window raised 4-6". Thoughts? Any feedback on a garden window (glass sides, front, and top) vs. a bay window (no glass in top)? Any brands/materials you like/don't like? As you maybe can guess, I'm wanting any feedback! Pictures would be especially wonderful.

Thanks!
