Update on Annie

I've started several threads here on Annie, a calico originally acquired by my neighbor but semi-abandoned with three kittens this past spring. I'll link the most recent thread (one with her picture) below.

I took her to the vet yesterday to have her liver enzymes re-checked. The doctor was amazed. He said Annie's first test result a month ago was over 600. (Normal is under 100.) Yesterday's result was 75. He said he never expected it to come down that far. She's been acting much healthier and happier, tooÂno surprise, I guess.

So Annie was spayed this morning. Yay!! I got out the sewing machine and made her a nice bed, envisioning her settling down on it to rest and recover. Ha! As soon as I got her home she made a beeline for the door (staggering slightly), and started crying to go out. Typical Annie behavior. But she's staying indoors for two weeks. I hope she gets used to it...and I hope she settles down at night.

Anyway, it's nice to be able to pass along some good cat news for a change. Pogo, her entertaining, enchanting kitten, gets neutered next week.

Here's Pogo:
