Update on McDuff

McDuff is running around now with his "little" sister (135lbs). It's been three weeks since the amputation of his hind leg. bone cancer. But he's only 3 years old.

Dogs are amazing. He weighed 128 when he went in for the amputation. He weighed 170 before that. He now weighs 145. He's eating like a pig. He's happy. His little sis is happy. He's running and playing and is a happy dog again.

It just amazes us how he gets along on three legs. I mean he's running like no tomorrow. We just have to make sure he doesn't hurt his other hind leg.

What a brave dog. I guess they are all like that. My sister came out from Calif. for a family reunion. McDuff slept with her all night in a king size bed just last night. And Daisy slept with us. I think Daisy understood.

Daisy waited, and didn't try to play with him until yesterday. You know how dogs play -- they get down on there chests with their two legs in front and the tail wags. Well, she waited three weeks to do this. and when she stood in front of McDuff and got down into the playng position, McDuff was off and playing with her.

But what amazes us is that Daisy KNEW McDuff was hurting and didn't try to play. We felt very bad for Daisy. She just left him alone.

Dogs are amazing. They sense things that we don't

And thank you all so much for being by my side and wishing the best for the Duffster. If anyone said a prayer for him, it worked. If he could thank you all he would. I'll post a picture of him shortly. thank you all so much. God bless all of you.

Okay, now I'm crying again. But thank you all soooo much.
