Anybuddy keep minibeasts?

Along with two cats I have an assortment of insects, Ground beetles and camel cricket, cousins to the giant wetas.

Camel crickets are found in dark wet places, they can jump up to 2 feet and often times bite off and eat their own legs if not fed well enough on a diet of fish food flakes, worms, cat food, spiders and grasshoppers. These crickets tend to have an adjustment period to captivity, if they make it past this, they make great pets and only come out at night, they mate similar to dogs, where they join end to end and I often see the females laying eggs or eating the eggs as they come out. Sometimes they will all congregate on the rocks only to all leave as if guided by a mysterious language onto the food. They seem to have no limit to how much they will eat.

Ground beetles are easier to keep then camel crickets give them loose sand or soil and rotting wood and rocks and they do just fine, they will often be active at night but are more diurnal then camel crickets. They love worms and grubs one of their favorites is ant eggs, just gotta take the bites and stings from an angry nest, now the green ones I found LOVE these, Carabus nemoralis, the European ground beetles are the biggest I have in my collection. Unlike camels you can hold the large carabus in your hands, Green ground beetles have a pungent oder to them that they use to ward off predators, and I find the scent to be quite invigorating.
