We have a wall in our family room with french doors centered and 2 windows on either side about the same size as each door. There is 18" of space between the edge of the door window and the side window. French door windows are 23" wide and side windows are 34" wide.

I was wanting to put dark bamboo roman shades on the outer windows to tie the room into the kitchen we just opened up and hang a curtain rod over the french doors with these 50" wide drapes:

Would this work? Should I just put bamboo shades on all the windows?
