Bionic Fleas???

I've never had a flea problem since the invention of Frontline. I've used it on my 12 year old dog and 12 year old cat for years with no problems. It usually has lasted a little over a month or so each time I've applied it, and if there were any fleas, they were gone by the next day.

In August we added to our family and adopted a gorgeous kitten from the shelter. His name is Butters, and he is the love of our lives. My older cat plays with him, something she hasn't done in years, and he is a joy. He does however seem to have one problem, bionic fleas! The past 6 weeks, I've applied Frontline to him every two weeks, and after 2 weeks, the fleas are back! Neither of my older animals have the fleas at all, and I've only used Frontline on them once a month as usual. For some reason, these fleas will not go away. Are they attracted to the kitten because he's younger and has tastier blood (eww..but I've thought about it), or do we have a Frontline resistant strain of the little buggers (but, if that was the case, wouldn't they be on my other animals as well??) I am so confused about what to do. It's getting expensive to put Frontline on him every two weeks, and I don't want to hurt him by over-dosing him on the stuff. Frontline has never failed me before, why is it failing me now, but only on one animal....suggestions???
