Invisible Fleas?

We have two cats and I treat them monthly for fleas, but in the last month or so my DH and I are getting bit all over our bodies. I have checked the cats and have not seen a single flea or flea dirt on them. What"s weird about these bites is they are in certain spots and welping very large. I may have up to 15 bites in one area. Also we have never seen a flea either. I've checked my bed and nothing. We had a flea problem many years ago, and I remember seeing the little things. They would attack your legs and the bites being fairly small. We are not getting any of this. Mainly on the trunks of our bodies. Are these fleas or maybe some other kind of bug. It is really freaking the both of us out. You would think we would see and feel being bit.

Could be bed bugs........not the same as dust mites.

For sure, change/clean all bedding! Vacuum the mattress and boxspring. This will NOT get rid of bedbugs, but it will get rid of other buggers.

You can aslo try setting the bedding out in freezing weather for a few nights :(

Wow. I hope it's not bed bugs! I also heard that putting the mattresses out in the cold can kill the bugs.

The 15 bites in one area IS indicitive of bed bugs. I suggest you call a pest control copany, bed bugs can get out of hand quickly. The other clue is that you are getting bit and dont "see" the bugs....good luck, sorry to hear you are someones dinner.

You can see bedbugs in the mattress seams : ( and it is way more than an exterminator's job.
