Am trying to remove old faucet to replace with new. I got everything loose but how do you pull out the drain body? I can't pull it through the top because there is a protrusion (for the pivot nut). I can't pull it from the bottom because of the metal seat on top. Do I just use brute force and tear out the metal seat? I have a new faucet here and the replacement drain assembly is not the same. Could it be that the top unscrews somehow from the drain body? I have the top about 1" above the sink now but it just turns round and round. Please can anyone help? Thanks
