I have a 4 year old pool that has a spa connected to the pool through a small built in stone stream. It is set to run in automatic mode with the pool water going into the spa and returning to the pool through the stream, thus helping to keep the spa water as clean as the pool water. For the last week or so the auto mode intake/return function hasn't been working and the spa is getting dirtier by the day. I just set it to service mode and turned on the "fill the spa" function and the process is working fine. It is returning to the pool through the stream and is cleaning out the spa.

However, the actual question I have is why isn't this process taking place in auto mode as it was just a week or two ago? My equipment is from Jandy. I'm in the process of selling my house and there are photos listed at the following link (so you can see what I'm speaking of):
