I'm looking for suggestions for window coverings for my new home in the great room area. It's an open concept home with living, kitchen and nook all in the same area. There are two 60"x60" windows - one each in the living and nook, and two 24"x60" on the adjacent wall in the living.

I'm big on letting the natural light in, so during the day I'd like to either keep them open, or have light filtering blinds to let as much natural light in as possible. However, we have a corner lot, so there will be privacy issues - especially at night. What are my options?

Second, our wood trim is white, but majority of the decor is a sort of cream/taupe colour (couches, paint, backsplash, etc.) When I look at pictures of blinds, they look so much better in the taupe/cream colour than white, but what's the trend? Should I go with white to match the trim?
