pool coping..need advice asap please!

hi everyone..it seems this might be the place to get some well informed opinions. we are having our pavers done around the pool and i told the contractor that i didn't want bullnose coping, i wanted the flat one. this is making a long story short. they installed the coping halfway and my husband didn't like it. it is the same stone they used for the steps, very tumbled. it's the techo bloc creta steps split-faced and tumbled. we went back and forth and i said i liked the look, he thinks it's dangerous. we have 3 kids and he is worried that they will play and hit into the stone. the contractor basically said it's either that or bullnose. ps we kept it and let them finish the pool coping....last night, i came across 2 other flat pool copings by the same company, not as tumbled, more of a smooth finish. my husband is a bit annoyed that they weren't presented as an option. do you think the antiqued stone will be a major problem? does anyone actually rub up against the coping? and would you at this point have them change it if you think the smooth flat would be better?

thanks so much for any advice!
