We have a powder room that is 3' x 5'. Talk about tiny. I have done a variety of things with the walls in the 15 years we've lived here. I had a funky, modern print wallpaper for a while. Then we remodeled most of the first floor, including the bathroom, and I chose a lavender color, fairly light (BM Piano Concerto). We have dark slate floors with colors of the slate ranging from plummy to gray. Everyone loved the lavender color but I felt it was too "safe" so finally I painted it a DARK purple. I happen to love it. It's a dramatic contrast with the white fixtures and chrome hardware/mirror. I think small baths are great for dark or bright colors, and a lot of my neighbors who have the same tiny bathroom have done something similar.

How about a coral color? It's kinda fun but doesn't have to be dark.

I'm not really feeling coral. I've also looked at terra cotta type colors, and they just felt dated to me.

I asked a relative who is an artist, and he said that I shouldn't go too dark, but I love the drama of dark walls in a small space. Right now I'm leaning towards a tobacco brown type color. The contrast with the sink, toilet, ceiling and door would be great.

I'm also thinking and will be asking in the forum about using a large mirror across the entire sink/toilet wall instead of just a mirror above the sink and shelves above the toilet.

look at davenport tan. It is a milk chocolaty brown with pink undertones which is very flattering.
