We have been in our home over two years and I still have no ideas on what to do with our mantel and the area above it. The two windows above aren't necessary as there is plenty of natural light in the room. The fireplace is almost 7 feet long, and the mantel is 5 1/2 feet tall and the area above the fireplace is 4 feet to bottom of crown molding. This is focal point in the room and I would really like to do something striking.
I am open to all suggestions and ideas.
