Master temp with easy touch set up

A while ago I had posted a request for some help setting up my Master Temp 250 with the Easy Touch 4. I'm sorry for having to repost this request but the original post can not be found on search.

I have a pool with an attached spa with shared equipment. The Easy Touch is programed for the pool heat to be solar and the spa heat assigned to the heater. I originally wired the heater to AUX 2 and the LV 2 lead to the heater terminal on the the ET but could not get the heater to start. Prior to that the heater was wired direct from the circuit breaker and worked fine. I was advised that I should wire the heater directly to the filter/pump relay which would the activate the heater when I switched to the spa. Well sad to say no such luck.

Any suggestions as what may be the problem would be appreciated.

You want to have power to the heater all the time.
Then the 2 wire from the firemans switch to the "gas heater" terminal on the ET board.

The use of a high voltage aux relay would only be needed if you wanted to assign a preset day or days for heat to come on. For example, if you wanted to heat the pool for the weekend, assigning Fri-Sun as on days and Mon-Thurs as off days. The heat could still be turned on manually at the control pad any time.

Setting the fireman's switch control as just-a-pb suggests is the norm with what I suggested as an option.

So are you suggesting wire the heater directly from its dedicated circuit breaker and 2 wire lead from the fireman's switch to the terminal should be all I need to do?

No need for a dedicated breaker. Drawing from the pool pump's is fine.
