Kohler Pro TaskCenter Sinks

Hello, anyone interested in the Kohler Pro Taskcenter series sinks: the MSR has dropped drastically on these models! For instance, the two bowl configuration (model K-3374) used to retail for about $2200.00 and now it's listed for $875. A local retailer double checked this for me and it's accurate. Even the accessory retails have been reduced. HTH!

Wow. And they thought the folks who bought the first iPhones were unhappy with that price drop. If that is true and holds, I hope they have a plan for dealing with the unhappy folks who waited to get one and paid for the privilege.

I love those sinks!! I'm going to need to go and look at them again. $2000 I can't justify--but $875...I might be able to just talk myself into that. Thanks for the heads up!

I posted this info trying to be helpful for anyone who likes this sink, not to potentially pour salt in wounds. I have read hestia_flames' posts many times, and trolled Craigslist and ebay searching in vain for a like opportunity. IMHO, these sinks were ridiculously expensive, and I'm happy that I have the good fortune to now consider one. I just finished reading threads on tile countertops and kitchen diversity--nice to discuss durable, stylish, timeless items the majority can afford. Pllog's countertops are a creative masterpiece; functional art that will inspire people to be creative with tile (even if one works with bargain tiles). To be honest, I was quoted a price below the MSR, and I'm quite excited about it.

I know you were trying to be helpful, and you were for anyone still in the process. I'm just amazed at degree of that change and the speed with which it happened. Kohler is a good company and they make good products (I've owned several). I hope they address that issue well if it is raised by early purchasers.

What confuses me is that you get far less for the Pro Tasksink that you do with the Kohler Stages -- with the Stages you get all the accessories -- I bought mine yesterday from WSCDirect for 704.00 (supposed to ship today! we'll see . . .). Both are 18 gauge -- is there something I am missing? The Pro Task looks as or less functional to me than a nice sized Ticor . . . . that you can get the same accessories with. Just saying.

I was actually between the Stages 45" and the Pro Taskcenter. The Stages includes so much for the money compared with the retail of the Pro Tasksink. For my needs the Tasksink might be the answer, and it's now a consideration with the lower retail.

IÂve been watching how I prep. Although initially dubious about the Stages 45, I now think that little shelf would come in *very* handy.

The Stages 45" seems fantastically functional--I love the way the sink transforms workspace from what is normally dead space. I love the shelf and the extras. However, my sink is in a peninsula and sadly, the Stages doesn't fit as well in our space.
