What do you mean by returns on the bottom of the pool? Do you have an inground Pool cleaner?

Barco,

Maybe returns is not the correct description. The wholes on the side of the pool that the water circulates back into the pool. We have 4 around the sides of the pool, and 2 at the bottom. When the heater is being used, the recirculated heated water comes through all of these. When the solar heated water recirculates, it only comes from the sides.

Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with putting returns on the bottom of the pool...so I am sorry that I can't be of much more help.
