While most installed steel and stainless steel walled pools experience no issues, having the polymer resin based walls does remove any potential electrolysis corrosion that could happen if the liner had a leak and went unchecked, say, on a wall or if the water table rises.

While unlikely, it can and has happened. Sometimes bond wire grids break or are missed during construction or work is done in the yard like the addition of a sprinkler system oor fencing and then cuts a bond wire.

IMHO, the less metal, the better. The use of vinyl rails and ladders is another place to remove the opportunity for any potential electrolysis corrosion that could happen there. They also come in colors, which is a plus.

The use of polymer walls is on the rise for this very reason. They don't rot and are incredibly strong.

In my experience almost every galvanized steel wall pool has rusted areas on the walls at the first liner change and require sanding and painting, some are so bad they require wallfoam. Usually it is worse at the bottom of the panels. On the other hand, I have seen more structural cracks and joint failures on the polymer walls. A high quality polymer wall would be my reccomendation. I know nothing about Kafco.
