Our pool is scheduled to get Stonescapes mini pebble next week and I know they plan on doing the acid wash the very next day. I've read several postings on this forum that had the same type of scheduling. I don't know anything about how the rain affects pebble tec.

They started shooting at 11, finished completely by 2 and it started lightly raining by 3. The guy said before he left that it was set enough that he didnt have to cover it. They just showed up, its 7:45 Saturday morning and its pouring!!!! Not sure if they can acid wash in a downpour, maybe they will just take the box off the lawn.

The pebble tec guy said the sheen finishes do not like to have water sitting on them, the tec is fine. Brown finishes are a little funny too. He threw a pump in it to drain the rain and left. If it stops raining he will come back and acid wash, then fill. He assured me it would be fine. Its raining too hard to do anything right now.

Send some of that rain out my way. We are a bit dry around here. It should be fine. It is not a good thing to do an acid wash in the rain. The fumes are worse and it is just down right annoying.

Rain stopped, another pebble tec crew came back to get the box and these guys say it really should be dry to get a good acid "burn". No acid wash today, they might return Sunday otherwise they will be here Monday. Caltropic where are you located....maybe the rain is moving your way, we got close to 7 inches....wish the pool was filling last night, could have saved on the water bill:)
