Jenn-air or Kitchen Aid appliances?

I am shopping for appliances for my new home. I went to the store thinking I wanted Kitchen Aid, having had them in the past and was satisfied. The Salesperson showed me Jenn-air-said it's a higher quality name and with specials they are currently running, prices are the exact same as Kitchen Aid. Reviews for Jenn-air aren't great online but neither are Kitchen Aid.

I'd like any constructive feedback...thanks!

Hi-I am in the midst of making the same decision you made two years ago…I'm wondering how it turned out for you and what you went with?

I've used Jenn-air appliances for over 10 years and they are quite reliable, also I have updated with Jenn-air again with my kitchen renovation in 2009, this time with glass cooktop instead of coil elements.

Hi Denise-I went with Jenn-Air and have been happy after a year. At the time I bought they were offering many incentives so shop around.

I am doing a remodel and considering Jenn Air JGC1536 36in gas cooktop but have not been able to find much review on it. I like the sleek design, high BTU ratings on all burners and low profile. There are tons of questions regarding reliability and customer service of Jenn Air. Please help. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

@ssssss0323 I am actually in another new kitchen now, but my Jenn Air double ovens worked great in my other remodel. I used them for a year without any issues at all. I went with the Thermador 36" gas cooktop; so much so that I put it in my second new kitchen. I was nervous reading about the Jenn Air reliability reputation also, but I couldn't have been happier with the ovens I had. A quick run down on the new kitchen: all KA appliances except for the Thermador cooktop. Good luck. I hope I have been able to help.
