Still working on a client's quilt and trying to stay healthy enough to go to the in-laws for Easter dinner! The kids that had the flu are in recovery, but now my husband has it which means that neither of us are getting a good night's sleep!

DH is manning his bonsai club's table at the county fair today and tomorrow he plans on going to Ocala to the Don Garlitz museum so I'm playing catch up! Finished the blocks to send for the Breast Cancer Awareness Auction today and completed getting the animals satin stitched onto the background for a baby quilt. Hope to get the top sewn together tomorrow. Sunday, we plan to go to DD's in-laws for lunch and to watch the youngsters search for eggs. The teens hide the eggs for the little kids in the in-laws yard and the adults hide the eggs for the teens in their neighbors yard.

    y'all have a good week-end......

Sharon  that sounds like so much fun.

WeÂll be celebrating Easter late this year. (More like when it usually is actually.)

DD is out of town this weekend and we leave for an RV trip on Monday. When we get back weÂll have a late Easter dinner with DD and her boyfriend.

I was planning on hard boiling some eggs for the trip. I decided this morning since IÂm making eggs I might as well color them too. DH liked the idea, so the two of us old folks will be coloring eggs for ourselves for no other reason other than its fun. IÂll "hide" them in the RV refrigerator and weÂll eat them during our trip.

    Stay well Annie!

    Happy Easter everyone!

Nina--I love the idea of dying eggs just 'cuz it's fun! Thanks for the good thoughts. I'm still staving off the bug and at least feel well enough to finish the quilting job I'm working on. This afternoon I think I'll add the borders to the last of the anniversary quilts from 2007 (my sister- and brother-in-law are VERY patient!) or maybe begin work on rearranging my office space now that my son has moved his gun-cleaning station and other hunting gear out to his "man shack". I have a lot more room to work with now! Suellen--those darn kids are too cute! I do miss having the baby goats around!

Suellen, Your baby goats are soooo cute! Our neighbor has goats and I think I'd like to borrow them to clean out some brush in our back jungle.

Nina, I love your idea of coloring eggs for just the two of you. I think I'll surprise DH and have a couple setting here at the computer in the morning.....heehee. That'll teach 'im for being such a bahhumbugger for holiday doin's.

(What are egg prices in everyone's area? Ours is over $2 a dozen!)

The baby goats are too cute, I was raised on a farm and miss the baby animals. Colouring eggs just for fun sounds like a good idea. Church and family will take most of my time this weekend. No outdoor Easter egg hunts - we still have tons of snow. It's been a long cold winter and I'm really looking forward to spring and some green grass and trees. We'll have two services Sunday, a sunrise service at 7:30 that I'm preaching at and a Eucharist at 10:00 After that the family will show up for a big supper. Monday we're off to a spa for two days with some friends - no quilting but the spa will be fun.
    Have a blessed Easter,

We actually did have a lot of fun. I have to say DH is a retired art professor and also a much better egg dyer than I am. hee hee

Sharon  I found our grocery receipt and eggs here in So. Cal. are $4.19 a dozen.

Suellen - I love the baby goats. I bet youÂre having so much fun with them. Congratulations!

    Happy Easter!

Hello! I just finished boiling eggs. My boys are 16, 18, and 20-and they still agree to color eggs with me. :0) I still fix them Easter baskets too! Tomorrow to church and then to brunch at my Mom's. Enjoy the holiday everyone- JudyLee

Suellen- I've always wanted a baby goat-they are way too cute!

I hide chocolate eggs for the GGkids around the house. A tradition that goes WAY back to my grown grands. Have a dinner for those that show up. Put the cross sashing strips on my blue and yellow quilt and maybe cut out the outer ones, who knows there maybe time to put them on.
Eggs here were 2.98 for 18.

Last night we went to my daughters church to see a play. My grandchildren and son-in-law were in it. It was GREAT!
Today we cleaned most of the day because we have church at our house tomorrow. We are starting at 8 and then breaking for breakfast then coming together again for a short message and singing time.
Yesterday I finished a birthday block and hoped to mail it today but that was before my son cut his leg whittling and I needed to run him to the ER for 8 stitches! Never a dull moment around here I tell ya.

I hope you all have a blessed day tomorrow.

    He has risen! Hallelujah!

Yowzers, Nina! $4.19 a dozen!!! And I thought $2 a dozen was high!

Well, thanks to Linda (toolgranny) posting her homespun stars quilt, I didn't get the animal blocks sewn together. But, I did get 5 star blocks appliqued and 11 ready and waiting by my chair....they're looking a bit primitive since she gave permission to have 'blunt' points. @:)
