Bordeaux PebbleSheen Pics...

Here are some pictures of our recently completed pool with the Bordeaux finish. We are REALLY happy with how it all turned out. I still feel everything looks unfinished until we get the landscaping completed, but the pool came out beautiful. I think the green-ish tint in the first picture is the reflection of the hedges and palm trees that are located pretty close to the pool because there is no green when looking the other direction - I hadn't considered that when I demanded my non-green pool!

Thank you so much for posting these pix. That is a lovely color and it's so hard to see any made with Bordeaux. I love it! It is high on our list too... Katherine

Love it! I know what you mean about the green in photos...sometimes ours (not Bordeaux, but Maj. Plum, so very close) photographs a tad green in places and I am always shocked because there is no green in it in real life. Very odd how those 2 colors photograph! But you're right, could be those shrubs, too.

Are you happy with the color? Did you get the shells, I can't remember?

Katherine, I can send you some more photos with Bordeaux, sent to me by a PB in Arizona when I was agonizing over my decision, if you're considering that color. And if you search here you'll see my Maj. Plum PebbleTec photos as well (got ours last month).

Very nice colors, especially if you tend to like cool-toned colors more than warm-toned colors. And they're not used as often, so if you like something unique, these are great choices.

    Gina,

Yes, we are thrilled with the color!! I was a bit nervous at first - it looked nothing like yours. But I think we just needed to get the water chemistry right - we filled right before Fay came through (actually ended up having to drain the pool I just spent 2 days filling!), so it was murky and not the clear blue it is now. But once our builder got all the chemicals in and everything balanced, the water cleared right up and it's beautiful. Everyone who sees it loves it. And you were SO right about the purple. I was calling it my eggplant pool. Thanks for the warning! My builder had never done one in this color or majestic plum. (Even the plaster guys had never done one.) I have a feeling he's going to be sending lots of people by here. He loves it. I didn't open the wine - too hectic the day they did the installation. I'm saving it for our first official break-in the pool celebration with our friends!

We did not get the shells. My husband wasn't too keen on it. I was just happy he agreed with me to upgrade to the PebbleSheen to begin with. He's SO glad we did.

    Katherine,

I'll try to take some pictures in different lights - late afternoon hours are beautiful - it's a deep blue color in the shade which looks gorgeous with a golden sunset going on. Good luck with your decision!
