Bird houses are here !! Slideshow...

I went shopping for bird houses at our local antique mall. Here is the result. Pics 1-11 are by the same man and the rest except for the last one are by another man. I have their business cards. The first group...mainly white ones but not all are made by a person here in my town and he will take a photo of your home and make a birdhouse replica. Most of the houses you see except the most ornate one are $35-$45. The most ornate one ( pic 2) is a replica of a local mansion and it is $275. He really does beautiful work. The second group are almost all $10-15. They have not got as many today as they usually have due to selling so many this last weekend at a fair. The wife told me " we had a run on bird houses !" They are about 20 min from me and are opening a new shop . I have their business card also. So here goes....if you e-mail me I will pass along info and I can recheck prices if you like as the mall is only 5 min from my house.

I love decrative bird houses here's the ones in my home, not a one was $10.00 this one I bought at and import store, $5.00, they had a basket full:

this one, very rustic, needed fixing and re-painting for a friend, and when finished she said it's yours enjoy!

This strange 2 story, I liked the painting on it, was about $3.00

And these next 2 are very small, but perfect to hang in my tree's in my house, what's a birdhouse without birds so I added a bird to each one:

And these 2 were bought at a Dollar Tree Store for ....you got it, $1.00 each and made of wood, with a grapevine added.
You can find bird houses all over, and not pay high prices, all you got to do is look!

Thanks for that wonderful slideshow, Trailrunner! Some of those bird houses are definitely for the swanky feathered friends, aren't they! ;-)

Here's one of my birdhouses ... I love how they've used an old faucet as the perch. It had an ornate heavy iron cross on top as a sort of steeple, but a high wind knocked it off the table where it was sitting on the front porch and alas, the steeple is no more.

Are these birdhouses strictly for decor or are they for function? Some birdhouses will not withstand the outdoors but do fine as decor for interiors. Good outdoor birdhouses can be expensive.
