What about neatly folded lengthwise and placed at the foot of the bed, with the edges hanging down the sides of it? That's what I do with some of my quilts in the summer.

Try it draped dramatically on a diagonal over the bottom edge of the bed. If it looks strange then do the neatly folded thing.

I work part time at Dillards in the Home Dept., in bedding area. I used to make beds up and drape the throw across the edge of the bed. Then next time I came back to work someone had done the boring folded neatly thing. I gave up.

pesky - Which bosporus did you get? The one with blue or red? I'm getting ready to make curtains out of the bosporus flax (blue) and I hadn't thought about making a throw from it also. Can't wait to see what you come up with.
