Unique 'under cabinet' lighting

I'm looking for some images of under cabinet or workspace lighting that isn't your typical puck or light rail under the uppers. I know Trailrunner has some wall mounted sconces, but does anyone else? My uppermost uppers are glass front with pucks, but I'm drawn to some magazine images with wall sconces as task lighting. Of course, we all know that magazine kitchens are often all about the show, not so much about the function.

I'd like to put Murray Feiss Parker Place sconces (in brushed stainless) under my uppers for task light. I don't do the small countertop appliance thing, so that's not a major concern (and that's also why I suspect this look works in magazines where people don't have stuff displayed for those 30 minutes on the counters!).

Of course, then I can do the large pendant from the same line in the same finish...which would be a nice solution if it will actually give me adequate lighting over the sink.

The kitchen is basically an L with the range on the short run and the sink in the longer part. There's a wall across the kitchen, but lighting that isn't proving to be as challenging as there's a natural place for a pendant and I'm okay with a more traditional under cabinet light set up there (in theory, that's the "newer" part of the kitchen - so it's slightly different in feel).

My lighting designer is pushing me toward the fresnel glass Union Station type pendants, but I'm not crazy about them and, I hate to be gross, but I wonder about getting the dead termites out of them. :-)
