New stuff,,,pics...

Here is a teapot wall hanging I just did..and this is what Im making from some of my Oriental pieces that I used for the teapots. This was really fun to make. I have to go grocery shopping so I will stop at Walmart and get some batting and Im going to try a spool of that multi colored thread for the hand quilting. Im trying to get used to doing some bolder colors.

I named this one, from a hint from Natalie. For those who dont know, she calls quilt blocks "MADES" because I hold them up and say"look what Nana made",,,so this quilt is" Pretty MADES All in a Row!!!" LOL! ( who is old enough to remember that nursery rhyme???)

So pretty. I have several friends that are tea drinkers and that would make a perfect gift for them.

Love both of them. If I had collecting room, I'd be collecting teapots. Also love the oriental design fabrics--the colors are so rich and I especially love fabric designs that look like watercolor paintings. Carole

    Oh Carolyn,
I love the fans! It's quite a coincidence - I have been collecting oriental fabric to make a fan quilt too! The lace edging is really cool. Nice! TFS

They are both lovely Caroline. What a great way to use your Asian fabrics.

Caroline, I really like the machine embroidery that you did on the fans. Did you do the same around the tea pots? My machine has some fancy stitches, but I haven't used them much--You inspired me!

They're all beautiful. The lace edgings are a really nice touch, too. And what a nice collection of oriental fabrics you have!

    That's really nice!

I'll have to post the quilt I've organized for our out-going guild President....it's teacups (to go with your teapots!)

They are both very nice, but I especially like the oriental fans. Black goes so nicely with bright colors and the fabrics in the fans are beautiful. Besure to let us see it after you hand quilt it with your bright colors. It sound exciting. Jayne

Caroline, I like all your "mades"!
I have a top made with teapots. This inspires me to get it out and finished.

I really enjoy the things our babies hear and repeat. Makes us realize they are taking everything in and we should watch our speech. I bet you have lots of other "Natalieisms". We have lots of them in our family.

    Have a great day.

Your pretty' mades' are wonderful. I like the way you quilted the dark background.
Your fans glitter against the black background and the lace gives them an elegant air.TFS.
    Hugs to Natalie.
