I have some Rhodes Sweet Dough thawing as I write. I'm looking for a coffeecake or something similar to make with it. I have tried before just putting some pie filling in the middle and baking, but that didn't do anything for me. It tasted like pie filling with bread under it.

I went online looking for recipes but found nothing that interested me. Almost everything was a cinnamon-roll type recipe, and I don't want that this time (DD doesn't like them). We are home sick and some tea and coffeecake would make us feel better. I am hoping to use things I have on hand as I'm not up to driving. I do have Solo apricot and cherry fillings on hand, plus almond paste, coconut, lemon filling, all kinds of nuts, and a well-stocked pantry in general. Though sadly, only fat-free cream cheese. A streusel topping would be a great plus.

Can you cheer us up today with a coffeecake recipe?
