Is the one below what you're talking about? I only remember biscuits from KFC.

There are recipes in the drop-down menu at the site below for KFC biscuits, rolls & spoon bread.

Boy, you can tell I don't do fast food. I thought KFC was someone who no longer posted when I saw the 'title'. Maureen

Since they are in every neighborhood I don't know how you'd miss them.

Oh we have one about a mile away, but kfc 'registered' in my brain as a probable user id. That's what I meant.

and i'm not remembering anything but biscuits either...the funny thing is that i've mentioned having fried fish from one of their restaurants in MA many, MANY years ago and no one i've ever said that to can remember such a thing. perhaps it was a test item that didn't do well but i thought it was quite tasty...sorry i can't help with the bread either.

It might be the same thing with the bread but I think I remember fish (maybe a holdover from meatless Fridays?)

When I was growing up, there was a KFC which was attached to a regular sit-down restaurant in our town. You got your chicken with vegetables, mashed potatoes and yeast rolls. You could also order fried fish or some meat dishes as the main course. I looked at the 'refrigerator rolls' in the KFC link above, and they didn't look the same, but they still might be good.

In Canada, it was always known as it's full name. It took a year of "KFC" commercials to realize they were talking about KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN lol. I think now they are pushing it by the initials here as well - you know, to get away from that FRIED word.

Also in Canada (at least in Ontario) I have never encountered biscuits, and we don't usually have the mashed potatoes either. Which is too bad because I would prefer them to fries.

I remember the bread. It was a short loaf, with slices partially cut and it seemed dipped/brushed with butter. It was soft, squishy, slightly sweet.

I don't have a recipe, but sometimes you can get soft rolls that taste very much the same. They are in a tray and all touching each other, shaped like little rectangles.

If I remember , the taste reminded me a lot of the butter rolls that you buy in bakeries, a little sweeter though but pretty close.

I worked for KFC back in 1971 to 1974. They had fries as well as yeast rolls. I wish they would bring the yeast rolls back. I worked in Oakland and SF, CA

I remember the dinner rolls. I wish they still had them.
