LOOKING for: Blondies

The bar cookies thread had me going thru my recipe box. I can't find my recipe for Blondies! Oh no! I looked around for a recipe and found one but made them and they are dry and crumbly. The blondies I used to make were dense and "butterscotchy" (for lack of a better description) and had chocolate chunks in them. Anyone have a T&T?

Feel free to add chocolate chunks to this one:
    BLONDIES
    2/3 cup sifted flour
    1 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 stick butter or margarine
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/2 tsp vanilla
    1 cup coarsely chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350°. Grease 8x8x2" baking pan & set aside. Sift flour, baking powder & salt onto a piece of wax paper; set aside.
Melt butter in saucepan over low heat, blend in sugar & stir until sugar dissolves; cool 5 minutes.
Beat in egg & vanilla until smooth, then stir in flour mixture & pecans (& chocolate chunks if using.)
Spread in pan, smoothing to corners. Bake 30-35 minutes until brownies begin pulling from sides of pan. Cool to room temperature in pan on wire rack, then cut into squares.~~American Century Cookbook

    Cooks Illustrated Blondies
    1 ½ cup (7 ½ ounces) unbleached all-purpose flour
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    ½ teaspoon salt
    12 tablespoons (1 ½ sticks) unsalted butter
    1 ½ cups (10 ½ ounces) light brown sugar
    2 large eggs
    1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
    ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
    ½ cup white chocolate chips
1 cup pecan, toasted and chopped coarse

    1. Adjust an oven rack to the middle position and heat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 13- by 9-inchpan with nonstick cooking spray. Fold two 16-inch pieces of foil or parchment paper lengthwise so that one measures 13 inches wide and the other measures 9 inches wide. Following the illustration (shows them criss-crossed), fit one sheet in the bottom of the greased pan, pushing it into the corners and up the sides of the pan (the overhand with help in removal of the baked bars). Fit the second sheet in the pan in the same manner, perpendicular to the first sheet. Spray the sheets with nonstick cooking spray.
    2. Whisk the flour, baking powder and salt together in a medium bowl; set aside.
    3. Whisk the melted butter and brown sugar together in a medium bowl until combined. Add the eggs and vanilla and mix well. Using a rubber spatula, fold the dry ingredients into the egg mixture until just combined. Do not overmix. Fold in the semisweet and white chocolate chips and the nuts and turn the batter into the prepared pan, smoothing the top with a rubber spatula.
    4. Bake until top is shiny and cracked and feels firm to the touch, 22 to 25 minutes. Cool completely on wire rack. Remove the bars from the pan using the foil or parchment handles and transfer to a cutting board. Cut into 1 ½ by 2-inch bars and serve.
