I like fat free sourcream in low fat chicken salads. I usually make a honey mustard sauce with the sour cream, honey and dijon mustard.

Or you can use mostly yogurt & mix it with a little mayo or low-fat mayo for the taste. And maybe add pineapple or grapes to it.

add lowfat miracle whip, celery and relish to your chicken.

Here is one from the Texas Club in Dallas, Texas, which is low fat. It must be my day for the Texas Club, as I posted a recipe of theirs for Bow-Tie Salad on the Cooking Forum! Enjoy!

1 pound skinless, boneless white chicken, cooked, cubed
1/2 c. low-fat sour cream
1/2 c. non-fat yogurt
1/2 c. light mayonnaise
1 1/2 c. seedless grapes
1 c. diced celery
1/4 c. roasted pecans
2 T. poppyseeds
Coarse black pepper and salt to taste

Combine sour cream, yogurt and maynnaise; add remaining ingredients. Serves 4.

If you are going lo-fat....you need to find something which will make it "high flavor".
I make a dressing of low ( or even no fat!) Mayo...I like kraft for that....add lemon juice to taste and and some yogurt.
Season with some curry powder and ginger.
Cut up cooked chicken breast into 1/2 inch pieces add some celery and cut up sweet onion, and fruit...I like pineapple chunks or halves of white grapes, or apple chunks or even white raisine, cut up, if you are making this on the spur of the moment.
Mix....add some slivered almonds if you like and serve on a lettuce leaf.

I favorite chicken salad has grilled, then cubed, chicken, toasted pecans and grapes.

Just remember that yogurt is tangy, and if you are used to a buttery creamy chicken salad (as in real mayo) or a sweet and tangy chicken salad (made with miracle whip) it won't taste the same. You may like it, but it won't taste the same.

Of course, you can use low or no fat mayo or miracle whip, but another idea is fat free dressings like ranch, ceasar, creamy italian. Again, not the same sandwich but very good. DH enjoys the fat free ranch with bacon flavouring in his chicken salad.

I just today made the recipe that Brenda listed above, and it tastes excellent!! I left out the celery, because hubby doesn't like that, but used everything else. Highly recommended!!
