RECIPE: Wedding cake

I'm not sure that this is good place for my topic but I did not found a better one.

I recently was glancing a magazine about wedding. I was looking for bouquets arrangements actually but I noticed that nowadays weddings cakes are using flowers (I mean cooked flowers) as an arrangement. Further more, they are so realistic so that it hard to say are they real, cooked or arteficial. May be somebody is doing something like that? Just to know how this process is going on and may be try to do something like that.

The last wedding I went to the flowers on the cake were almost eerily real-looking down to the drop of dew. They were technically edible but were actually made & not real flowers.

Cooked flowers???
I have seen wonderful sugar flowers....but "cooked"?
Frankly I prefer real flowers....

I guess I'm also confused by the "cooked" flowers. Several weddings I've gone to lately have used artificial flowers on the cake, and one used real flowers.

No one seems to do frosting or sugar flowers anymore, maybe they are too time consuming?

The sugar flowers are more expensive from what I've been told. Makes sense since there's a lot more work involved but they're really beautiful.
