It's been a long time but I don't remember a stem inside the mulberries from the tree I owned in the States.

irislilly, the stem always came out easily from the berries I picked here, although the berries would usually "collapse" when picked because that stem did run all the way through.

I'm sorry I don't have a way for you to easily remove those. You could just crush and strain them for jelly but if you have a lot you could also make cobblers and crisps, freeze some to add to scones, etc. (they collapse so easily that they break up when stirred into scones, so I freeze them for that)

The "other" mulberry thread? Was that the one from the Harvest Forum? Many posters there have trees or access to them and maybe they'd have suggestions on those stems.
