Oh, your poor teenager! I'm so sorry. Anything in liquid form is going to be called soup! What about gazpacho, cold fruit soups (lots of combinations put in the blender with cream or sour cream and some spices), cold cucumber soup, vissychoise (sp?). I'm at our cottage and I don't have the recipes here, I hope more people will read this and post some for you!

Hi calorie shake!
8 oz whole milk
1 envelope Carnation instant breakfast....chocolate is good!
1/4 cup egg beaters ( pasteurized eggs)
2 T powdered dried Carnation milk
1/2 cup full fat, premium chocolate ice cream....like HaaganDaz.
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
Mix in a blender with 2 ice cubes and serve with a straw.
This contains about 25 grams of protein and about 750 ( or more) calories.

My daughter's favorite, complete with potassium, calcium, protein, lots of other good vitamins and minerals and of course, chocolate:

Power Shake:

Peel a ripe banana and cut into three or four pieces, place in blender. Add a big heaping tablespoon full of peanut butter (smooth), a cup of milk and a huge squirt of Hershey's syrup. Blend til smooth.

I don't have any specific recipes to share, but all I can say is calories, calories, calories!! My ex had a broken jaw, and had to eat with a syringe type thing in the beginning, and then moved on to a straw. I fed him every type of food you could imagine (pureed of course), and he still lost massive amounts of weight. In the end, we found that it was helpful to feed him drinks like Ensure, etc every hour or two to help get more calories into him.
