Quick question on rug construction

Hello - I'm hoping this is an easy question for you all.

I have purchased hand-tufted rugs, hand-knotted rugs, and have petit point hand-hooked rugs in my kitchen.

I am looking at a rug that with a description of hand-hooked, hand-tufted. The description does not say petit point. I do not want petit point, but a typical dense rug.

Anybody know what hand-hooked hand-tufted means?

THANKS AGAIN.

Yes...it's a hooked rug....not tied as in an Oriental...but hooked...looped.

Thanks lindac. That's what I was afraid of. Apparently 8x12 is a difficult size to find, and I thought I had found pretty close with this one:

Unfortunately hooked makes me think a bit of a country design and that's not what I'm going for in this area.
Thanks again.....the search continues.
