LOOKING for: How to measure vinegar for pickles

I need to know how to measure if a recipe for pickles calls for 8 cups of vinegar for every 7 pounds of cucumbers and a box holds 13 pounds and 2 boxes are going to be used.
I want these to be safe for a first time pickle canner. I think 2 gallons is right.
