looking for: coffee rumballs ??

About 4 yrs ago, a woman (Marlin) or something like that, sent me a recipe for Rumballs - it was the old fashioned kind with rum, coffee, icing sugar, butter I think _ I can't find it anywhere - if anyone has this recipe,please post.

Oldwomanhobby, This is the recipe for rum balls that I ahve been using for over 25 years. I made them the other day but in stead of rum this time I added a shot of real espresso to the mix along with some real vanilla. I rolled most of them in
and the rest in toasted
. These keep in the fridge or freezer and the recipe makes about 100, depending on the size.

Home Cookin Chapter: Recipes From Thibeault's Table

Magic Chocolate Balls
=====================
3 (175G) packages of semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk

1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract (or rum)

Finely chopped nuts,
Flaked Coconut
Chcolate Sprinkles,
Unsweetened Cocoa
or Icing Sugar
. In heavy saucepan, over low heat, melt chocolate chips with condensed
milk. Remove from hat, stir in vanilla. Chill for 2 hours or until
firm. Shape into 3/4 inch balls; roll in one of the optional coatings.

Chill until firm.

These can also be frozen.
