LOOKING for: Cheeseburger casserole/pie recipe

Hello! I've had a fantastic cheeseburger casserole a relative made but the recipe has been lost. I was hoping someone had a recipe in their collection. Thanks!

    was it the bisquick one?

    Quick Cheeseburger Bake

    1 pound lean ground beef
    3/4 cup chopped onion
1 can (11 ounces) condensed Cheddar cheese soup
1 cup Green Giant® frozen mixed vegetables
    1/4 cup milk
    2 cups Original Bisquick® mix
    3/4 cup water
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (4 ounces)

    1. Heat oven to 400ºF. Generously grease rectangular baking dish, 13x9x2 inches. Cook ground beef and onion in 10-inch skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown; drain. Stir in soup, vegetables and milk.
      2. Stir Bisquick mix and water in baking dish until moistened; spread evenly. Spread beef mixture over batter. Sprinkle with cheese.
      3. Bake 30 minutes.

Here's the one I have from the Amarillo Jr League:
    CHEESEBURGER PIE
Pastry for 9" one crust pie, unbaked
    1 lb ground beef
    1/2 tsp ground oregano
    1/2 cup crushed soda crackers
    8 oz can tomato sauce
    1/4 cup chopped onion
    1/4 cup chopped green pepper
    3/4 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp pepper

Brown meat. Drain. Stir in remaining ingredients & pour into pastry shell.

    Cheese Topping:
    1 egg, beaten
    1/4 cup milk
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp dry mustard powder
    1/2 tsp Worcestershire
    2 cups grated Cheddar

Combine egg & milk. Stir in seasonings & cheese. Spread topping evenly over filling. Cover edge of pie crust with a 2-3" strip of foil to prevent excessive browning. Remove foil the last 15 minuts of baking. Bake in a preheated 425° oven for 30 minutes.~~

Here's a different Bisquick recipe that I made a zillion years ago - I used to love it and I feel a craving coming on! But I have to say that I think I'll try the second one that Ginger posted, that sounds so good especially the topping.

Question time - what are soda crackers? Would saltines be okay?

    IMPOSSIBLE CHEESEBURGER PIE

    1 lb. hamburger
    1 med. onion
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. milk
    3/4 c. Bisquick
    3 eggs
    1 can tomatoes, drained
    1 c. shredded cheese

Brown hamburger and onions together, put in a greased 9"x9" pan. Combine the milk, Bisquick and eggs together; pour over the hamburger. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. Add tomatoes and cheese and bake 10 minutes longer or until knife inserted in middle comes out clean.

Yeah, Woodie. Saltines. I love all those impossible/Bisquick pies that I've tried. Haven't made one in ages but I have a small box of Bisquick in the freezer (to keep it fresh.)

Ginger, I love all the impossible pies too! Actually, I love Bisquick, I know not everybody does :-) I keep mine in the freezer also and just ignore the expiration date. One thing I'm going to try is their chicken tender recipe which is on the box, I think the grandkids will enjoy them (I hope). I probably will!

I'll have to check what's on my box of Bisquick. Post it if it's any good.
